Sustainability
From a heavy industry to a measured one.
We track every tonne of CO₂e against every dollar of revenue, in every contract, every quarter, since 2009. The full ledger is open to our shareholders, our regulators and our future.

Decarbonisation trajectory
Measurable progress, verified targets
Our carbon intensity has fallen 57% since 2009 — not through offsets, but through engineering. Advanced composite blends, electrified plant fleets, and design-phase carbon budgets embedded in every contract. Every tonne of CO₂e is tracked against a project baseline, verified quarterly, and reported in our annual Climate Report.
Reporting frameworks
Transparent by design
Wepex reports against the highest international standards for climate disclosure. Our frameworks are not aspirational targets — they are binding commitments verified by independent auditors and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
TCFD
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures
Full alignment since FY22. Scenario analysis, transition risk quantification, and governance disclosures published annually.
SBTi
Science Based Targets initiative
1.5°C pathway validated. Net-zero by 2050 commitment with interim 2030 targets across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
EU Taxonomy
European Union Taxonomy Regulation
Alignment reporting for eligible activities. Revenue, CapEx, and OpEx proportions disclosed per EU Taxonomy Technical Screening Criteria.
Materials innovation
Engineering carbon out of concrete
Our Materials Innovation team has developed WPX-C7, an advanced composite blend that reduces embedded carbon by 24% compared to CEM I concrete while exceeding ASTM C1202 chloride resistance standards. First deployed on the Red Sea Link programme, WPX-C7 is now specified across all marine and civic projects. The blend uses supplementary cementitious materials sourced from industrial by-products, reducing both kiln fuel demand and landfill burden.
