Modern Slavery Statement

Transparency in supply chains · FY 2025

Our Commitment

Wepex Group Inc. is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms within our operations and supply chains. This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

We recognise that the infrastructure, energy, and construction sectors carry elevated risks of modern slavery, particularly in regions where we source raw materials, engage subcontracted labour, or operate in complex regulatory environments. We take this responsibility with the utmost seriousness.

Structure and Supply Chains

Wepex Group operates across 42 countries with a workforce of approximately 38,000 direct employees and an estimated 120,000 workers in our extended supply chain. Our supply chain encompasses:

  • Steel, cement, and aggregate procurement across 18 countries
  • Specialist subcontractors for marine, tunnelling, and high-voltage engineering
  • Temporary labour agencies providing site-based construction workers
  • Logistics providers for heavy-lift and oversized cargo transport
  • Professional services including legal, advisory, and environmental consultancy

Our procurement function is centralised through regional hubs in New York, London, Singapore, and Dubai, each with dedicated compliance officers responsible for supply chain due diligence.

Due Diligence Measures

  • Supplier Code of Conduct: All Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers are required to sign our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy as a condition of contract. Non-compliance results in contract suspension.
  • Pre-qualification Audits: New suppliers in high-risk categories undergo independent labour rights audits before onboarding.
  • Whistleblower Mechanism: Our confidential reporting line accepts anonymous reports of forced labour, debt bondage, or worker exploitation. Reports are investigated within 72 hours.
  • On-Site Inspections: We conducted 142 unannounced site visits across our supply chain in FY 2025, resulting in 7 contract terminations for non-compliance.
  • Worker Voice Programmes: We fund independent worker voice surveys at 28 major project sites, enabling direct and anonymised feedback on working conditions.
  • Training: All procurement staff and project managers completed mandatory modern slavery awareness training (2,400 staff trained in FY 2025).
