We are one of the few firms capable of delivering an entire offshore wind programme — foundations, substations, array cables, and export connections — under a single contract.
The global energy transition is the defining infrastructure challenge of our generation. Wepex Energy & Grid has positioned itself at the centre of this transition, with 11.8 GW of generation capacity delivered or under construction, 4,200 km of high-voltage transmission lines installed, and 2.8 GWh of battery storage capacity commissioned. Our practice spans offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, pumped storage hydro, battery energy storage systems, HVDC submarine cables, and onshore substations.
Offshore wind is our largest energy sub-category, representing 48% of the division's revenue. We have delivered foundation installation, substation EPC, and cable laying for projects across the North Sea, the Atlantic, the Red Sea, and the East China Sea. Our in-house marine spread — including the heavylift vessel WPX Venturer and the cable lay vessel WPX Connector — gives us control over schedule and cost that our competitors, who charter from third parties, cannot match.

Red Sea Link — Phase II Offshore Platform
3.8 GW offshore energy platform including HVDC converter station, accommodation module, and helicopter deck. Single heaviest lift: 14,200 tonnes. Delivered on a fixed-price EPC basis with zero lost-time injuries.
Sognefjord Pumped Storage
1.2 GW pumped storage hydroelectric scheme carved 600 m into Norwegian gneiss. Two 20 km headrace tunnels, an underground powerhouse with four 300 MW units, and a new 420 kV transmission connection to the Nordic grid.
Hornsea 3 Export Cable System
370 km of HVDC export cable from the 2.4 GW Hornsea 3 wind farm to the onshore landing point in Norfolk. Included four cable crossings of existing in-service infrastructure and a 12 km horizontal directional drill shore approach.
